Lily Pashkova − an artist who turns clay, colours and lines into stories.
My name is Lily Pashkova and I am the author of this site. I graduated in ceramics from the “N. Pavlovich” Academy of Arts in Sofia, and over the years I have built a rich creative presence − taking part in exhibitions and plein-airs, designing interiors for hotels, murals on buildings, as well as several solo exhibitions.
For many years I taught at the Troyan School of Ceramics, where together with my students I took part in the excavations of the Urdoviza settlement and restored ceramics from the 4th millennium BC. Later I created full reconstructions of this beautiful pottery, which I presented in a solo exhibition. Today my works are kept by collectors in various countries.
For health reasons I had to step away from traditional ceramics and turn my efforts to gentler techniques. But my passion for art remained unchanged − each of my works is a true symphony of colours, forms and feelings that I hope will carry you, too, into a world of tenderness and inspiration.
During the restrictions imposed on us, I could not stay shut in and decided to paint the apartment block where I live with birds. So a beautiful bird landed on every floor and the block turned into a small gallery. You will be able to explore it virtually or in person.
Into my drawings and watercolours I put all the tenderness I am capable of − I strive to touch the finest strings of the soul. My ceramic plates bring beauty into everyday life, and the folk motifs, woven with wood and colour, are for me living symbols of culture and heritage. Each work is a small temple of beauty and tradition.
I believe that art is not simply looked at − it is felt, lived and inspiring. If you would like to own a piece of this magic, I would be glad if you got in touch with me. Bring your world into my palette and let art tell your story.
